So, if you or your staff members who primarily use an Outlook email client on a PC or laptop are planning to <strong>back up the Outlook message folders<\/strong> locally, simply follow the instructions given in this post.<\/p>\n<h2>How to copy Outlook email folders to desktop<\/h2>\n<p>Regularly backing up files of any important data is good practice. So, if there\u2019s an event of misfortune, you can readily access and restore them. Here\u2019s how to copy or backup email folders from Outlook to desktop:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Launch Microsoft Outlook app.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the <em>File<\/em> menu.<\/li>\n<li>Select <em>Open &amp; Export<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Choose <em>Outlook Data File (.pst).<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Select the backup folder<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In addition to keeping your Personal Folders and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewindowsclub.com\/repair-corrupt-outlook-pst-files-inbox-repair-tool-fix\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">.pst files<\/a> on the server, you can store them on your hard drive. However, if you store them on your hard drive, you will need to make sure to back them up on a regular basis.
