In this world now, everything is password protected, your phone, computer, e-mails, and whatnot. And remembering so many passwords can be difficult sometimes. What\u2019s more, you cannot have a simple password. It has to be something strong and out-of-place, something that no one can think of. Sometimes, even you cannot remember that out-of-the-box password. Writing them all down and saving them on Notepad or Word is also not advisable. This is where our new freeware PassBox<\/strong> can help you.<\/p>\n

UPDATE:<\/strong> Passbox v2.0<\/strong> has been released. New features in Passbox v2.0 include:<\/p>\n

  1. Ability to backup. Passbox<\/span> v2.0 can backup and restore data.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Added support for multiple databases, a user can create as many databases.<\/li>\n
  3. Fixed issues with password recovery.<\/li>\n
  4. Interface issues have been solved. You can now simultaneously edit the records while viewing them. A user can also view complete data in tabular form using the grid view. Added another panel – Database manager which lets you manage databases and all.<\/li>\n
  5. Fixed some issues with password generation. The most important one – added another later of security for the database. Created a portable version too.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    PassBox\u00a0– Free Password Manager<\/h2>\n

    \n<\/a>PassBox is a handy little tool that will remember all your passwords. You just have to set and remember one password for PassBox, and you can save all the other passwords in it. And if you forget your PassBox password, you can use the \u201cforgot password\u201d option and you will receive an e-mail on your recovery e-mail address, giving you the new password.<\/p>\n

    \"First\"<\/a><\/p>\n

    When you fire it up for the first time, it asks you to enter a new password and the recovery e-mail. Giving the email ID is optional. Once done, you are all ready to save your passwords.<\/p>\n

    \"Add\"<\/a><\/p>\n

    Click the \u201cAdd new\u201d button on the menu and a form appears. Enter the name of the account, your User ID, password, recovery question and its answer and you are done! You have saved a password. The next time you want to see the password, just click on the \u201cView Passwords\u201d options, select an account and view the password and all the other information that you saved along with it.<\/p>\n

    PassBox –\u00a0Free Password\u00a0Generator<\/h2>\n

    That\u2019s not all. PassBox can even suggest passwords for your account. Just hit the \u201cGenerate\u201d button and the password generator appears in a new window. You just have to select the length of the password and whether or not you need special characters in the password. Boom! Hit the \u201cGenerate\u201d button and you get your new password, which can be quite interesting.<\/p>\n

    PassBox sports a Modern UI with a user-friendly interface. There are no pop-ups, no useless buttons or confusing instructions. Just fire it up, save and view your passwords and you\u2019re done. That is the best part.<\/p>\n

    PassBox saves all your data in a secure, encrypted format that cannot be accessed without PassBox and your password.PassBox uses a combination of MDF and DES algorithms and the encrypted password can only be decrypted with the PassBox software after entering the master password for PassBox. After using PassBox once, you will never need to remember any password.<\/p>\n

    NOTE<\/strong>: PassBox does not<\/strong> connect to the internet. You can check the activity in the Task Manager. It will, however, need Internet access to send you the mail, only if<\/strong> you exercise the Forgot Password<\/em> option to recover the forgotten master password.<\/p>\n
