In reply to Anand Khanse. Yes, after playing with it, I see that it does indeed do ALL of what I want. Thank goodness. And though the Nirsoft collection is a bit old, it still is quite useful! I'd love to see a review of it on your site. :-)

In reply to Jan. Anand, since I wrote the above message, I found an old utility in the Nirsoft collection. It's called SHMAN, and it does almost all of what I need. But I'd still love to hear if you have any other recommendations. Thanks!

Anand, I have been searching (in vain) for a shorcut-fixer program with these features:
1) Lets me specify the branch to search.
2) Lists all broken links with suggested new paths, but does NOT automatically fix them.
3) If I want, I can edit the suggested new paths.
4) I can then select which links the program should fix.

Does this exist anywhere? Thanks for your article. :-)
